About The Position

Our 16 bed general med/surg unit provides patient care for a variety of different diagnoses including peritoneal dialysis and pediatrics. This unit is known to be fast paced with a great variety of patient populations. They have a strong sense of team to provide the highest quality of patient care. As an RN Lead, you'll be responsible for coordination of patient care activities, workflow and scheduling, act as a clinical and administrative resource to staff and provides work direction and perform charge nurse responsibilities and assumes responsibility for the nursing unit as directed by the supervisor. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • PALS within 6 months of hire
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in clinical nursing within an acute care setting
