About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-performing Labor & Delivery unit focused on providing exceptional maternal and newborn care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment, and a commitment to delivering patient- and family-centered care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate will have experience in obstetrics, fetal monitoring, neonatal stabilization, and emergency response, with a strong emphasis on safety, communication, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Active Florida RN license or compact RN license eligible for Florida practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required or obtainable within 30 days
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required or obtainable within 30 days
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required or obtainable within 90 days
  • STABLE certification – required or obtainable within 60 months
  • Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification – required or obtainable within 60 months

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Labor & Delivery nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of obstetric emergencies and fetal monitoring interpretation
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environments

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivery, and postpartum patients
  • Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout all stages of labor
  • Assist physicians and clinical teams during deliveries and obstetric procedures
  • Administer medications and evaluate patient responses to treatment plans
  • Support immediate newborn care and stabilization following delivery
  • Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition
  • Adhere to all labor and delivery clinical protocols and safety standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including OB providers and neonatal staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
