About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery/OB to provide high-quality maternal and neonatal care. The RN will utilize the nursing process—including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes. This role involves direct patient care, medication administration, interdisciplinary coordination, and support for clinical excellence in a fast-paced obstetric setting.

Requirements

  • Recent Labor & Delivery/OB experience within the last 2 years
  • Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in medication administration and patient monitoring
  • Experience managing high-acuity maternal and neonatal cases
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation and nursing systems
  • Leadership ability for charge nurse responsibilities
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – Massachusetts
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • CCH Pharmacology Exam
  • Current Fetal Monitoring Certification (renewed every 2 years)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process
  • Perform detailed patient assessments (physical, psychological, and social) and document findings accurately
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses
  • Deliver direct care to obstetric, labor & delivery, and postpartum patients
  • Develop, implement, and communicate individualized care plans with the healthcare team
  • Function as charge nurse when required
  • Support staff education and serve as a clinical resource
  • Utilize electronic health records and nursing informatics systems effectively
  • Monitor quality indicators and participate in performance improvement initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding care plans and procedures
  • Maintain professional documentation and ongoing competency development
  • Deliver exceptional patient and family-centered care
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
