About The Position

This is a full-time night shift position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery department at Texas Health Rockwall. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, supporting families, and contributing to a healing environment. The department offers a supportive team, advanced equipment, and a strong shared governance structure. The hospital, Texas Health Hospital Rockwall, is a 105-bed acute-care facility serving the communities of Rockwall, Kaufman, Hunt, and surrounding counties, known for its comprehensive services and commitment to patient care, evidenced by a CMS Five-Star Rating and ANCC Pathway to Excellence® designation.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire
  • NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire
  • IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within 2 years of hire
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
  • STABLE Program completion recommended
  • AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring course completion preferred
