The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery (LDRP unit) will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care. This role involves monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. The RN will uphold and promote a culture of safety, continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, and may administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely. Effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution are essential, as is fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. The position requires pursuing professional development, completing required education, and maintaining certifications, while adhering to ethical practices and demonstrating knowledge of age-specific care. The RN will maintain accurate EHR documentation and may be required to float to other units to meet patient care needs.
