Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The position also involves administering medications and treatments, demonstrating effective communication and conflict resolution, pursuing professional development, and adhering to ethical practices. Appropriate delegation to other nursing staff and accurate EHR documentation are essential. The role may require floating to other units to meet patient care needs and necessitates demonstrating knowledge of age-specific care. The nurse must be able to perform various physical tasks and may be exposed to hazardous materials, requiring the use of protective equipment. Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
