About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) - IV Therapy demonstrates clinical competence through the nursing process and the development of a synergistic nurse-patient relationship. The nurse assesses and identifies patient problems and needs, establishes a plan of care, implements care, and evaluates the care provided to patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of a school of Nursing.
- At least one year of RN experience.
- Current unrestricted license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to obtain and maintain department-specific certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Two or more years of acute care experience in this clinical area.
- Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion and/or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
