Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology
About The Position
HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital is seeking an RN to work specifically in our Interventional Radiology (IR) department. Ideal candidates are patient focused mission driven individuals providing high-quality and specialized nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures guided by imaging technologies. This position will also assist in scheduling which entails conducting pre procedure phone calls to obtain health history, reviewing instructions, ensure proper labs and imaging are completed prior to the procedure and performing patient follow up communications.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
- Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are required based on the patient population in the specialty area worked.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s of science in nursing is preferred.
- Critical Care Nursing experience is preferred.
- Specialty certifications based on patient population such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality and specialized nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures guided by imaging technologies.
- Assist in scheduling procedures.
- Conduct pre-procedure phone calls to obtain health history.
- Review procedure instructions with patients.
- Ensure proper labs and imaging are completed prior to the procedure.
- Perform patient follow-up communications.
