Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology
About The Position
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for an experienced Nurse to join its dynamic Interventional Radiology team in a Full-time status. The schedule involves 4x 9-hour shifts weekly, Monday-Friday, with 1 on-call weekday night shift every 2 weeks and 1 weekend every 5 weeks. The unit covers hours from 8 am to 5 pm. The Interventional Radiology Unit includes 6 pre/post procedural bays and 2 procedural rooms, handling approximately 14 procedures daily. These procedures include, but are not limited to, Biopsies (Liver, Bone, Bone Marrow), Never Ablation, Vascular Procedures, Drain and Line Placement, Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, and GI procedures. Nurses are trained to rotate through the Pre, Intra, and Post (recovery) areas of the department, working closely with the interventional radiology provider and techs to provide exceptional patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Requires minimum 1 year (RN) nursing experience.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
- BLS Healthcare Provider Certification issued by the AHA is required at start.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- IR RN experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a critical care and/or procedural/peri-anesthesia area.
Responsibilities
