Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology
About The Position
Interventional Radiology (IR) is a dynamic procedural department that performs a wide range of image-guided interventions using fluoroscopy, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to precisely target therapy. Many IR procedures offer minimally invasive alternatives to traditional surgery. The Interventional Radiology team collaborates closely with multiple specialties across the organization, including nephrology, urology, gastroenterology, cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, vascular surgery, and gynecology. Registered Nurses work side by side with a multidisciplinary team to support all aspects of patient care throughout the procedural continuum. The department manages a high volume of procedures, including—but not limited to—central venous access, endovascular interventions, image-guided drain placements, dialysis access maintenance, inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement, nephrostomy tube placement, and gastrostomy tube placement. This position is a Monday–Friday schedule with 10-hour shifts and shared on-call responsibilities. Candidates should have at least 2 years of acute care experience, with prior Critical Care experience highly desirable. Training for ACLS and Moderate Sedation will be provided.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required upon hire.
- At least 2 years of acute care experience.
Nice To Haves
- Prior Critical Care experience highly desirable.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
- Utilizes critical thinking and the nursing process to anticipate and recognize changes in patient status, taking action to modify the plan of care or to elevate to the care team as necessary.
