As a member of the Health Support Center (HSC) team, you’ll support those in its facilities who are interfacing and providing care to patients and community members to positively impact its mission of making communities healthier. The Wound Care Team oversees treatment of patients needing Wound Care, with a goal to provide safe, quality, and compassionate care close to home.

Requirements

• Current VA or compact state RN license
• Associates degree in nursing required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support
• Experience in Wound Care required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Wound Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients served on his/her assigned unit as described in unit based competencies, policies and procedures.
• In collaboration with other staff members, provides bedside patient care, implementing the interventions identified in the plan of care, as directed by physician.
• Ensure appropriate patient care documentation.
• Implement and assure compliance with wound center and hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintain familiarity with regulatory standards.
• Report quality of care issues to clinical manager or Program Director.
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
• Communicates with all team members regarding therapeutic interventions.
