About The Position

Shriners Children’s St. Louis has an opportunity for a full-time night shift Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Unit. You will provide direct patient care for children with a variety of different orthopedic conditions ranging from mild to complex. This involves providing Med-Surg and ICU level of nursing care. Requirements

• BSN degree or in process
• Missouri RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years bedside RN experience (will consider new grads)
• Pediatric and ICU experience
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Responsibilities

• Coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Support professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
• Provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.
• Excellent communication skills and skillful in mentoring and teaching.
