About The Position

General Internal Medicine (F6/5) is a fast-paced medical unit that offers challenging and rewarding nursing opportunities. This is a 28-bed acute care unit focused on high-quality patient care and medical education. The unit is home to all three general medicine teaching services within the academic medical center. F6/5 also provides specialty care to patients with infectious diseases as part of its Special Pathogens program and may also care for patients with infectious diseases as part of the Special Pathogens population.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
