Requirements

Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program and licensed by the State Board of Nursing
One year of formal training as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a healthcare setting
Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Nice To Haves

OH and KY licensure preferred
Progressive leadership experience preferred
Strong venipuncture skills are preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their suitability for infusion therapy.
Assess vascular access options and select appropriate sites for IV placement.
Insert and manage peripheral IV lines or central lines for administering variety of medications and therapies, ensuring accuracy, proper dosage, and adherence to established protocols.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after infusion.
Educate patients and their families on the purpose of infusion therapy, potential side effects, and the importance of adherence to treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of infusion therapy, including the type and dosage of medications administered, patient responses, and any observed side effects.
