About The Position

Responsible for providing professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as the primary liaison between patients, staff and providers. Receives direction from: Providers, coordinators and Clinical Managers/Supervisors. Gives direction to: LPN's, CMA's, CNA's and Schedulers. Works cooperatively with: Providers, Healthcare Professionals, Allied Health Staff, patients and families.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nursing program
  • Proficient in starting IV's and using infusion pumps
  • Experience with chemotherapy infusions preferred
  • Familiar with port draws, port flushes and sterile dressing change.
  • Possesses excellent mathematical/computation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and to multi task.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and cooperatively with staff and/or providers in all departments
  • RN MT licensure
  • BLS, ACLS required
  • Medical Terminology
  • Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures.
  • Keyboarding skills
  • Basic office skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bio/chemotherapy Certified within one year of hire
  • Oncology Certified Nurse, preferred
