Registered Nurse (RN) – Infusion Job Type: PRN | Days Schedule: 8hr (6:30am-3:00pm) or 10hr (6:30am-5:00pm) shifts, PRN - as needed. Our surgical department is made up of a 14 bed Pre-Op, 5 bay PACU and 8 Operating Rooms. With dedicated Surgeons, Nurses and Surgical Technologists, you will gain experience in areas such as General Surgery, OB/GYN, Ortho/Sports Medicine, ENT, Cataracts, Pain, Podiatry, Urology, Bronchoscopies, Endoscopy, Dental Extractions and Peds Dental Restorations. Also included in our services is Outpatient Infusion and Pre-anesthesia Testing.
Requirements
- Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities
- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
- Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
