The Infusion Therapy Department provides safe and specialized administration of intravenous antibiotic medications, fluids, blood products, and performs therapeutic phlebotomy. The unit is staffed by trained healthcare professionals who monitor patients closely to ensure effective treatment, manage side effects, and support optimal patient outcomes in a comfortable and controlled setting. Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Must possess the ability to supervise LPNs, CNAs, Techs, Unit Secretaries, and Clinical students. All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.
