About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN II) in the Resource Pool at Texas Health HEB is a full-time position responsible for providing high-quality patient care. This role involves floating between Observation, PCU/CSU, and Med Surg units. The position emphasizes core nursing values such as responding to basic human needs, respecting human dignity, understanding patients' perspectives, involving families in care, collaborative problem-solving, attentive reassurance, encouraging communication, and creating a healing environment. Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma (nursing) required
  • Associate's Degree Nursing required
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (if required for float dept) 90 days required
  • CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required
  • NIHSS- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 60 days required
