About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse (RN II) position in the Progressive Care Unit at Texas Health Dallas. The role involves delivering patient care using the Nursing Process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse will incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures, initiate actions to meet patient information needs, and maintain continuity of care. The position also focuses on cardiac care and the management of various cardiac drips. The unit offers self-scheduling, opportunities for educational and career growth, an engaged leadership team, and focused collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma required
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program required
RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
One-year strong Medical Telemetry experience in an Acute Care setting strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
