About The Position

The Registered Nurse - RN II - Cardiac Telemetry position is a full-time role at Texas Health Arlington Memorial - Heart & Vascular Hospital. This role is part of the Telemetry Department and involves working 12-hour shifts (06:45-19:15) including holidays and weekends. The Heart & Vascular Hospital is a 47-bed facility with a 20-bed Cardiovascular ICU and a 27-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit. It specializes in various cardiac procedures and surgeries, including CABG, Valve surgeries, TAVR, Impella, IABP, Lung procedures, general cardiac care, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, AMI, post heart catheterization, angioplasty, stenting, electrophysiology studies, and device implantation. The hospital has received numerous accolades, including accreditation for Chest Pain, AHA's Gold Plus award for seven years, Beacon Award Silver level, and a 5-star rating from CMS.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire is required.
One (1) year of experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required.
BCLS is required upon hire with an expiration date greater than 3 months preferred.
ACLS is required within 90 days of hire.
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training is required within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

BSN is preferred.
One (1) year of RN experience in Telemetry, CCU, PCU is preferred.
One (1) year of RN experience in a high acuity Tele Unit is highly preferred.
