Requirements

  • Current New Mexico or Compact State RN license
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred
  • ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care to critically ill patients using the nursing process and evidence-based practices
  • Performs comprehensive patient assessments and identifies changes in patient condition
  • Administers medications, treatments, and life-support interventions as prescribed
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient status to physicians and the care team
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, transfers, and discharge planning
  • Educates patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery expectations
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients and families
