About The Position

Join our 18-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), our ICU operates with a 1:2/3 nurse to patient ratio. Patients treated on this unit include those requiring vents, continuous BiPAP, vasopressor drips, DKA on insulin drips, ETOH on CIWA, and a mix of intermediate care. This role provides an opportunity to work in a newly opened unit, which is very spacious and bright. Staff Physicians are approachable. Our unit strives for quality patient care, and you are encouraged to share your knowledge with others.

Requirements

Current state RN license
Degree from an accredited nursing school
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of Med/Surg experience preferred
Compassionate nurse with a deep understanding of critical care principles and advanced patient monitoring.

Responsibilities

Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
