At Lourdes Medical Center, a 35-bed hospital located in Pasco, WA, caregivers are part of a close-knit, mission-driven team dedicated to compassionate, high-quality patient care. The registered nurse (RN) plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the ICU. 2:1 Nurse Ratio, 12 Hour Shifts, 6 Beds, Must be willing to float.

Requirements

  • current state RN license
  • bachelor’s degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS required
  • 1 year of ICU experience required

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
