Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital located in Edina, MN! This multi-diagnosis Intensive Care Unit cares for critically ill patients 18 years and older. We see approximately 8-10 open heart surgical patients per week as well as other major surgical patients, acute respiratory failure, OD / withdrawal, medical and surgical neuro and minimal trauma. We provide Telemedicine ICU services for the system and take care of patients with IABP, Impella, hypothermia therapy, and CRRT. However, we do transfer patients requiring LVAD or ECMO to the University of MN. Schedule: This position will be working .75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the night shift (7pm-7:30am). This position will also work a rotation for every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). About the ICU at Southdale Hospital: This position reports to the Nurse Manager and Patient Care Supervisor. We are a 23-bed unit. We have an average daily census of 20-21 patients. Currently, we have 110 FTEs/150 employees in the department. Approximately half of our RN staff has acquired an advanced certification in Critical Care Nursing. 24/7 Intensivist coverage in the ICU.
