The registered nurse (RN) plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the ICU. 2:1 Nurse Ratio 12 Hour Shifts 6 Beds Must be willing to float How you’ll contribute You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing. This position provides off hour leadership and functions as resource person for staff members, assists in patient care and is responsible for overall quality of patient care in the facility. Provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Documents patient care provided. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • current state RN license
  • bachelor’s degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS required
  • 1 year of ICU experience required
