About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a combined ICU and Med-Surg assignment. This position requires a flexible nurse who is comfortable caring for critically ill and medical-surgical patients and willing to float as needed within the health system. The assignment is for 13 weeks. The unit information includes a 12-Bed Intensive Care Unit and a 31-Bed Medical-Surgical Unit. Staff are expected to work across both units based on patient care needs. Technology and systems used include EPIC Electronic Medical Record and Omnicell Medication Management System.

Requirements

• Active South Carolina RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• First-time travelers considered based on specialty experience
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
• Medical-Surgical Nursing experience
• Ventilator Weaning experience
• Tracheostomy Care experience
• PEG Tube Management experience
• Wound Care experience
• Spinal Cord Injury Patient Care experience
• Adult Patient Population (18+ years) experience
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC Electronic Medical Record experience

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to ICU and Med-Surg patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately.
• Manage ventilated patients during the weaning process.
• Provide tracheostomy and PEG tube care.
• Perform wound assessments and treatments.
• Administer medications and treatments safely.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC.
