About The Position
The Community Hospice has an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hospice Care Team at the Hospice Inpatient Unit located at St. Peter's Hospital. This position is unique in providing an opportunity to have a tremendous impact on patient and family quality of life at a crucial time. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide expert end-of-life care to patients while supporting families during one of life's most important transitions. In this rewarding role, you will assess patient needs, respond to symptom management concerns, collaborate with physicians and care team members, and help ensure comfort, dignity, and quality of life for those we serve.
Requirements
- NYS RN Licensure
- ASN required
- 1-2 years recent acute care experience
- Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and peers.
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Hospice experience highly preferable
