About The Position
Central Coast Home Health and Hospice is a fast-growing, locally owned organization seeking a full-time Hospice RN to join their team in Northern San Luis Obispo County (Atascadero, Templeton, Paso Robles). The nurse will plan, organize, and direct hospice care, build community resources to meet patient and family needs in their homes and communities, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote patient and family choice, ensure continuity of care, and enhance the quality of life for dying patients.
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- CPR certified (America Heart Association)
- Must have one year of professional nursing work experience
- Reliable vehicle to drive for work
- Current Driver's license and clean driving record
- Have and maintain auto insurance coverage
- Understands "hospice philosophy" and issues of death and dying
Nice To Haves
- Home Health, Hospice, OR and/or ER experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct hospice care.
- Build community resources to plan and direct services to meet the needs of the patient and their families within their homes and communities.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote patient and family choice, assure continuity of care, and enhance the quality of life of dying patients.
