About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse Visit Nurse for the Hospice unit located at the Edgewood, Kentucky location. This is a part-time position, requiring 20 hours weekly. The Visit Nurse is responsible for providing quality care to patients, following the physician's plan of treatment and the nursing plan of care. This role involves teaching care needs to patients and their families/caregivers, and reporting pertinent findings to the Clinical Care Coordinator. The nurse must demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is being performed.
If eligible, must have a Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence.
Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
Valid Driver’s license.
Demonstrates advanced assessment skills appropriate for home care environment.
Ability to function independently.
Knowledge of community resources.
2-3 years of RN experience in a hospital or care facility setting.

Responsibilities

Provision of quality care to the patient.
Following the physician’s plan of treatment and the nursing plan of care.
Teaching care needs to the patient, family/caregiver.
Reporting pertinent findings to the Clinical Care Coordinator.
Demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
