About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Hospice Inpatient Facility role at Trellis Supportive Care involves providing compassionate, expert end-of-life care to patients and their families. This position is based at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and offers a schedule that supports work-life balance. Trellis Supportive Care is North Carolina's first free-standing, not-for-profit hospice organization, dedicated to offering medical, emotional, spiritual, and social support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses, enabling them to live fully and comfortably.

Requirements

• Current North Carolina RN license
• Charge RN experience
• Excellent nursing assessment and critical thinking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional customer service
• Sensitivity to the needs of terminally ill patients and families
• Ability to cope with emotional stress and respect diverse lifestyles
• Proficiency with electronic medical records

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert end-of-life care.
• Perform nursing assessments and utilize critical thinking skills.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of terminally ill patients and families.
• Cope with emotional stress and respect diverse lifestyles.
• Utilize electronic medical records proficiently.
• Fulfill Charge RN responsibilities after initial training as a floor nurse.
• Work three 12-hour shifts per week.
