About The Position
The Community Hospice has a rewarding opportunity for a Part-Time RN to work as a part of our Hospice Team at the Hospice Inpatient unit (HIPU) located on the 5th Floor at St. Peter’s Hospital. Schedule is 2 12 hour shifts per week with an every other weekend rotation. This position is unique in providing an opportunity to have a tremendous impact on patient and family quality of life at a crucial time.
Requirements
- NYS RN Licensure
- ASN required
- 1-2 years recent acute care experience
- Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and peers.
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Hospice experience highly preferable
Responsibilities
- Works as a staff RN on the Hospice Inn unit
- Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive plan of care to provide added support to patients and families.
