About The Position

The UH Cleveland Medical Advanced Heart Failure ICU is a 10-bed heart failure specialty care unit that cares for the adult patient population experiencing heart failure. This is an academic/teaching hospital with a nurse-focused, supportive, and education-focused culture. It is Magnet Recognized and offers a Nurse Residency Program to assist in Transition To Practice. Requirements

  • Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited program
  • An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance.
  • Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
  • Education and degree verification will be required upon receiving a job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred – only for positions that are getting filled
  • Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
