About The Position

Axia Women's Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (Generalist) for Chester County OB/GYN in West Chester, PA, with additional locations in Kennett Square, Downingtown & Exton. This role involves evaluating and assessing patient health care needs, obtaining provider input, and accurately documenting patient information. The position requires strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills, proficiency in electronic medical records, excellent communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Competency in phlebotomy and standard nursing procedures is also necessary.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
• Must hold current and unrestricted Registered Nursing license applicable to care center's location(s)
• Phlebotomy experience required
• CPR certification required
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in documenting within an electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and function in a fast-paced environment
• Competency in phlebotomy and standard nursing procedures

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an outpatient clinical setting preferred
• Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR strongly preferred
• Familiarity with OB/GYN or women’s health patient populations beneficial
• Understanding of lab order sets and CPT coding a plus
• Willingness to support at satellite locations if needed

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and assesses patient’s health care needs based on patient’s signs and symptoms utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines
• Obtains appropriate input and direction from the provider as needed to determine best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient health care
• Accurately documents symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller response.
• Follows policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as improve health care outcomes of patients/callers and their access to appropriate health.
