Registered Nurse (RN) Freestanding ER
About The Position
Inova Franconia-Springfield Healthplex, Emergency Room is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join their Emergency Dept. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses. This Free-Standing Emergency Unit services the local community with 24-hour lab testing and radiology including X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound. It offers a 4-5:1 patient to nurse ratio, with emergency nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and ventilator trained nursing and EMT staff. The unit is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians and fosters a supportive team environment with opportunities for advancement. The parent hospital is stroke certified, and nurses are afforded nurse autonomy.
Requirements
- Requires a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
- BLS from American Heart Association
- Proficient in English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others.
- Proficient computer skills required.
Nice To Haves
- Strongly prefer 2 year plus of ED RN experience.
- CEN/ACLS certification desired.
