The department structure ensures a manageable workload, with staff floating and supporting inpatient units including surgical, neuro, and medical, most featuring just 18 beds. This allows for attentive, high-quality patient care. There may be opportunities to cross-train to IV Therapy, LDRP, and other units. The float team is an integrated, highly engaged team supporting the Summit site, offering expertise, camaraderie, compassion, and shared purpose, where everyone lifts each other up and successes are celebrated together. Aurora Medical Center – Summit is a 117-bed facility staffed by over 260 nurses, delivering state-of-the-art care in a thoughtfully designed space that prioritizes comfort, safety, and privacy.
