About The Position
Join a supportive and inspiring Float team at Aurora Medical Center – Summit, where you will be encouraged and guided with ample opportunities for growth, learning, and professional development. The department structure ensures a manageable workload, with staff floating and supporting inpatient units, surgical, neuro, and medical, most featuring just 18 beds, allowing for attentive, high-quality patient care. There may be opportunities to cross-train to IV Therapy, LDRP, and other units. The float team is an integrated, highly engaged team supporting the Summit site, offering expertise, camaraderie, compassion, and shared purpose. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This involves using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Aurora Medical Center – Summit is a 117-bed facility staffed by over 260 nurses, providing state-of-the-art care in a thoughtfully designed space focused on comfort, safety, and privacy. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association or within 6 months
- Previous RN In-patient experience required

- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
