The department structure ensures that staff have a manageable workload, with floating and supporting inpatient units, surgical, neuro, medical, most featuring just 18 beds. This allows you to provide the attentive, high-quality care your patients deserve. The float team is an integrated, highly engaged team supporting the Summit site, offering expertise, camaraderie, compassion, and shared purpose—everyone lifts each other up, and successes are celebrated together. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. You will use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association or within 6 months.
  • Previous RN In-patient experience required.
  • 1.5-2 years of RN In-patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication.
  • Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
  • Provide coverage on PM and Night shifts (1500--0700).
  • Work a minimum of 16 hours per month, including 1 holiday rotation per year.
  • Floating and supporting inpatient units, surgical, neuro, medical.
