As part of our rural health hospital, float pool staff play a vital role in driving process improvements and contributing to meaningful change across.

Requirements

  • A current VA or compact RN license.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS, PALS & Advanced Stroke course are required within 6 months of hire.
  • At least two (2) years of clinical experience is required in Critical Care, ED, PACU or similar.
  • Must respond within 60 minutes if placed on call.

Nice To Haves

  • Trauma Nurse Core course (TNCC) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate care in a manner to ensure that patient needs are provided in an efficient manner and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Possess the knowledge to safely apply theory and practice using the Nursing Process of Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.
  • Ability to work with all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
  • Ability to work with Paragon applications (Electronic Medical Record), as well as other computer systems for patient care.
