Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool
About The Position
Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring an RN for our Central Float Pool in Charlottesville, VA. This is a Full-time, night shift position (7p-7a) with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants and premium differentials. The Central Float Pool is hospital-specific and involves floating to units with additional need due to acuity or staffing. Primarily assigned to IMCU or Medical/Surgical units, this role offers training and precepting on the ICU and ED for Registered Nurses (RN) interested in critical care areas. This position is ideal for those who enjoy variety or are interested in learning new skills. Due to the advanced level of practice, 2 years of acute care nursing experience is preferred. New Grad RN Candidates with a background in hospital-based acute care may also be considered. Sentara Martha Jefferson has a low RN turnover rate and high patient satisfaction scores.
Requirements
- Registered nursing License (Required)
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 1 year of hire (Required)
- Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License with previous experience in acute care clinical roles may be considered.
- 2 years of acute care (preferred)
- Critical care experience (preferred)
- Medical Surgical experience (preferred)
- Previous healthcare experience (preferred)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
- Students in the process of completing a registered nursing program with previous experience in acute care clinical roles may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Float to units with additional need due to acuity or staffing.
- Primarily assigned to IMCU or Medical/Surgical units.
- Receive training and precepting on the ICU and ED.
- Provide care in various hospital units as needed.
