About The Position

Advocate Medical Group (AMG) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Float for their Peds/Peds Subspecialty Clinic. This part-time position involves supporting general pediatrics, pediatric GI, pediatric uro, and pediatric neuro clinics. The role requires providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, utilizing evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to ensure a safe and positive patient experience. The clinic is part of Aurora's multidisciplinary Greenfield health center, offering coordinated care for children and families.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
• Support general pediatrics, pediatric GI, pediatric uro, and pediatric neuro clinics.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
• Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
