About The Position

This is a Full Time, 36 hours weekly, Days 7am-7pm position for a Registered Nurse/RN Float specializing in Critical Care. The role involves floating to ICU, Emergency, Med Surg, and Telemetry units within Texas Health Rockwall. The position requires attending training at the corporate office in Arlington for the first 1-5 days of hire. The Nursing Administration Department offers a supportive team environment, a strong shared governance structure with unit-based councils, and access to new and advanced equipment and technology.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing required
1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
1 year of ICU or critical care experience strongly preferred
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
