Registered Nurse (RN) – FLEX Resource Women’s Health
About The Position
The WI Float Pool is a multi‑site resource team supporting Women’s Health (WH) care across the Wisconsin division. Float RNs provide adaptable, high‑quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
- Must be able to support 2 of 3 specialties: Post Partum, Labor & Delivery, NICU
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Additional Certification needed: LDRP RN (ACLS, NRP, EFM, Telemetry Rhythm Analysis/Interpretation POC Glucose; NICU RN (PALS, NRP, POC Glucose)
- Minimum 1-2 years of WH RN experience required in specialty
- 1 Weekend Shift per 2 schedule period
- 1 Holiday per year
- A minimum of 12 hours per scheduled period is required and may be met through a combination of 4-, 8-, or 12-hour shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Strongly Prefer 2 years Women’s Health RN Experience: Post Partum, NICU, Labor & Delivery (must support 2 service lines)
Responsibilities
- Providing safe, therapeutic, evidence‑based nursing care in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrating adaptability by floating to multiple care environments within a designated Zone, integrating quickly into new departments, and collaborating with diverse teams
- Leading efforts that support the safest patient environment and best possible patient experience
- Coordinating care for diverse patient populations within various acute‑care, hospital outpatient departments and clinic settings
- Maintaining the competency required to practice in all acute‑care facilities within the designated zone
