About The Position

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Gastroenterology Lab/Endoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology team. Nurses rotate between pre-op, intra-op and PACU. This position offers the unique opportunity to be trained in the GE and IP areas working with patients in both PreOp and PACU. This is a full time, 4x10hr shifts per week. Call is taken on a rotating basis for after-hour emergencies, on weekends & on holidays. This role requires enrollment and completion of a Specialty Periop/GE Program including five mandatory classes on unit orientation. The start date will be August 2.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support through AHA
• Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associate's Degree, Complete BSN within 5 years of start date

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years in acute care nursing: to include med/surg tele and IMCU experience
• Demonstrate meaningful contributions to their unit, including participation in committees, involvement in projects, taking on unit charge, serving as preceptor, or engaging in other activities that support team success.
