About The Position
The Enterprise Float RN will, based on hiring tier, be flexible and float to multiple areas based on the level of care hired into to provide patient care, from the highest level of care to lower. These requirements include, but are not limited to, scheduling the day of staffing, assignments in more than one unit during a single shift, and to float to all designated levels of care and campuses within their tier and ECU Health Regions.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing, Associates in Nursing or higher is required.
- 2 plus years of experience in nursing is required.
- At least one year of experience in the highest level of care practiced.
- Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- Health Care Provider is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- National Stroke Scale Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required within 12 weeks of hire.
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet the twenty-four (24) hour needs of the patients.
- Possess organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to utilize effective and confidential communication in patient, interdisciplinary, and staff relationships.
- Maintains stable performance levels under conditions of pressure and multiple demands.
- Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications.
