Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy
About The Position
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for an experienced Full-Time Endoscopy Nurse to join its dynamic team. The schedule involves 4x10 hour shifts, with varying start times between 7a-8a and ending times between 5:30p-6:30p. This role requires on-call availability during weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is a 182-bed acute care community hospital dedicated to providing safe care and excellent service. The Endoscopy Lab at Fair Oaks Hospital features 6 suites and performs a wide range of procedures, including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Endo Bariatric procedures, and Endoscopic Ultrasound Procedures, with over 9,000 procedures performed annually utilizing the latest technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in OR, Endoscopy, PACU, or critical care (ICU/ED).
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BLS Healthcare Provider Certification issued by the AHA required at hire.
- ACLS & PALS for Healthcare Provider Certification issued by the AHA to be completed within 90 days of hire.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of prior Endoscopy, ICU or ED nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing duties within the Endoscopy Lab.
- Conduct a comprehensive range of procedures from Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) and Colonoscopy, to Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, Endo Bariatric procedures, and Endoscopic Ultrasound Procedures.
- Utilize the latest Endoscopy Technologies.
- Provide care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- Be available for on-call duties during weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
