About The Position

In the GI lab, we have approximately 60-70 cases per day. We have 7 admit beds, 10 recovery beds, and 7 procedure rooms. It is a very fast-paced environment. We assist in ambulatory with pediatric cases and in the main operating room with many GI lab cases. We perform Colonoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Esophagogastroduodenoscopy, and many therapeutic procedures. Our diverse team members with many skill levels collaborate to create the best patient experience with the best patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Teamwork, having an emphasis on patients receiving high quality care.
• Communication, hard-working, multi-tasking, engagement.
• Collaboration
• Endoscopy/GI experience is required
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
• Time management, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in operating computer functions (e.g., E-mail, electronic records, digital platforms etc.) clinical, aviation, maintenance, communications, and administrative departments.

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
