Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, performing laboratory procedures, assisting providers with procedures, administering medications, and initiating/maintaining IV therapy. The role also encompasses patient education, managing test requests and referrals, and performing advanced clinical tasks under supervision. Additionally, the RN contributes to staff development, acts as a clinical resource, and may provide work direction. Maintaining exam rooms, stocking supplies, and ensuring equipment is functional and properly maintained are also key duties. The position requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care based on the principles of growth and development.
