About The Position

This is a full-time Evening shift position for a Registered Nurse (RN) II in the Emergency Department at Texas Health Rockwall. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, responding to patient needs, and creating a healing environment. The department is characterized by engaged leadership, a supportive team, and advanced equipment. The hospital, Texas Health Hospital Rockwall, is a 105-bed acute-care facility serving the Rockwall, Kaufman, and Hunt counties, offering comprehensive medical and surgical services and holding a CMS Five-Star Rating and ANCC Pathway to Excellence® designation.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Emergency Department experience or trauma unit experience strongly preferred
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course preferred upon hire
