About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency position is within a Level II Trauma Center and a Joint Commission Accredited STEMI and Stroke Receiving Center. The facility has five pods and 49 beds, with a maximum patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1, and approximately 68,000 emergency visits annually. The role requires a varied schedule of 12-hour shifts. Start times may include 6 a.m., 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 6 p.m.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Current California nursing license.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
- Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification.
- Experience with EPIC charting.
- A minimum of 2 years of prior emergency room experience in a Level II trauma center or higher, including exposure to pediatrics, trauma, STEMI, and stroke patients.
Nice To Haves
- Current ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification is preferred.
