Registered Nurse/RN – Emergency Full Time Days

About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse/RN II in the Emergency Department at Texas Health Rockwall. The role is full-time, requiring 36 hours per week with three 12-hour day shifts, including weekends and holidays. The department offers engaged leadership, a supportive team environment, and new equipment and technology. Training will be conducted at the corporate office in Arlington for the first 1-5 days of hire.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course preferred upon hire
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course preferred upon hire
